Monica é a excessivamente elegante e organizada “irmã mais velha” do grupo, e trabalha como uma chef enquanto deseja muito encontrar seu amor ideal. Ross, irmão mais velho de Monica, é um paleontologista com uma paixão longa por Rachel.
Ele é um homem calmo com baixa auto-estima e recentemente divorciado. Rachel é a garota bonita e alegre que gastou a maior parte da vida sendo uma princesinha mimada. Agora ela deve aprender a encarar o mundo real. Chandler é o amigo de colégio de Ross e o cara que sempre faz as piadas. Phoebe é uma massagista amável e excêntrica que combina com os hippies dos anos 60. E Joey, o amigo que tem um relacionamento inverso entre sua boa aparência e sua inteligência. Ele sonha em virar um ator. Esses seis indivíduos fazem parte do elenco de Friends.
